Our survival is a question of verticality: picking oneself up again after falling is an endless cycle carried out daily.
We are all participants in this asymmetrical dynamic, but each of us experiences it in a unique and personal way. As perpetual members of a collective society we endeavor to find meaning and freedom, to see for ourselves if a .free fall. is indeed possible.
.
Resistance to letting ourselves .fall., to abandoning defensive and asphyxiating vital structures, can sometimes lead to a state of discouraging stagnation, a redundant state of existence in which the individual is trapped, incapable of finding a possible alternative. We asked ourselves how a group can facilitate this .fall., serving as a source of encouragement and support so that individuals can find freedom, entrusting themselves to their own nature, and continue along their path, in the same way that a pool of still water resists plunging into a waterfall until the thrust of the current propels it into its own free fall.
FREE FALL is a choreography for 6 main dancers and 20 local amateur dancers who join the stage along with the company after a 3 days intensive workshop, creating the human landscapes of the piece.
